Acting is my first love and I want to stick to it. But I would be happy to offer my inputs to a script, if asked.

I know my limitations as an actor.

Kissing on screen isn't easy.

There are roles that I can't do.

Dhol' is a light-hearted thriller revolving around four unemployed guys who are chasing money. It's my first attempt at comedy.

I hate controversies and want to be in the news for the right reasons.

I don't want to take off my shirt and roam topless all the time, just for the heck of it.

People always told me that 'Kalyug' wasn't the right choice, but it did well and now I think people have accepted me in the lead.

Though I can speak only tooti futi Gujarati, I can understand it completely.

I'm a movie fanatic and love watching all kinds of movies.

Once in a while, I get a massage done at home but I'm not a spa junkie.

I like watching American TV shows like 'The Sopranos,' 'Game of Thrones,' etc. I also like to watch dance reality shows since I love to dance, even though I haven't been trained in dancing.

If you don't need it, don't buy it.

Don't try to walk in someone else's shoes - literally and figuratively. Wear what you feel confident in.

Onion juice and peel applied to the face and scalp is a great natural detoxifier. I followed it for some time but it kills your social life! You can say I didn't find it very a-peeling.

When you are a public figure, relationships are a bit complicated.

All relationships are complicated in some way - you fight, you make up, you laugh, you get angry. It happens.

I don't think there is any set formula to have a good relationship.

Bollywood has not utilised my potential! But unfortunately, we can't plan and have things our way.

I used to once believe that the script is the most important thing, but now I also believe that the kind of people you are working with also matters a lot, and moreso, to see how the film will be promoted.

I have been a funny kid growing up but every one thought I was a serious person. I think it has to do with the choice of my films such as 'Zakhm,' 'Kalyug' and 'Traffic Signal.'

It's annoying to sit at home and not go to work. But I feel it's better to wait and do something that will be seen and appreciated.

I keep feeling I constantly debut every two years.

It's a huge learning that things aren't always in your control. You can only be responsible for what you're doing.

It has been a journey of ups and downs. There have been moments of immense joy and heartbreaks. Everything I have gone through has made me better.

I have generally never committed to things in my life but I am very committed to this relationship. Soha is one of my best friends and sometimes I treat her like a friend more than a girlfriend.

I do know there is a lot of pain sometimes but you need to deal with it and communicate what you're feeling.

I am a fan of crime investigative series.

I am an ardent watcher of lot of series on the web platform.

I was born there and I moved away in 1990 when I was seven years old. After that my family moved away from there to Delhi and Mumbai. Now, only a handful of relatives live in Kashmir and we are constantly worried about them. It pains me to see that my birth-place is not a safe place to be in anymore.

I started as a nobody in this industry and today I can say that I have made some sort of a name for myself.

With some many talented people around, it is difficult to cut through competition and stand out.

I started off with films similar to 'Blood Money' - intense, emotional dramas. But as is often the case, the industry and audience typecast me and I decided to break away. Hence, followed a spate of comedies.

I learnt a lot as a child actor. Since I had been before the camera, I knew how it would be to be on a set or on a shoot. That way it was easy for me when I re-entered the industry as the main lead.

I never regret what I do. I'm very proud of every work I have done.

Success of a film is not only based on the film being good or bad. A lot of other factors are involved as well.

As an actor I get opportunities to do different kind of films. It's not that if I have done a few comedies, I'm averse to other roles or genres. It's just that I go for the films I like and incidentally some of them have been comedies.

As a kid, I was playing a character, so the film was not on my shoulders. I did 11 films out of which three were appreciated and remembered. At that time no one was following my career, so it was easier. But now when you are a mature adult, it's a different experience.

I love acting and the whole idea of being in front of the camera.

I don't believe in getting into a blame-game or credit-hogging mode whether a film works or not. We are in it together, no matter what the result.

If you love a person, you love everything about him or her.

Sometimes after marriage, one really gets to know his or her partner after three or four outings. But for us, we knew each other's eating as well as living habits.

Soha does not like cooking but I like to cook. And since we are in the same profession, we have the same tastes in entertainment we like to watch the same shows on TV. The only thing that Soha is finicky about is her eating habits, which keep on changing. But we do give enough space to each other.

We have seen many child actors who have gone astray. They were particular that 'Zakhm' was going to be my last film as a child actor and after that I took a six year break for education.

There are films where the promos reveal all the punches and when you go to watch the film you feel like having seen it all. Such films don't last after a good opening.
