Pep Guardiola is a former Spanish footballer and current manager of the ‘Premier League’ club ‘Manchester City.’ Before announcing his retirement from football, he was considered one of the best footballers and midfielders in the world. In the early 1990's, his association with 'Barcelona' turned out to be a great success. 'Barcelona', at the time, was known as the "dream club." Pep was part of 'Barcelona' when they won the 1992 'Euro Cup' and four consecutive La Liga titles from 1991 to 1994. In 1997, he was made captain of 'Barcelona,' a position he held until 2001. He played for his Spanish soccer team. He played a key role in making his team win the 1992 ‘Olympic’ gold medal. In 2008, just two years after retiring as a player, he started working as a manager for 'Barcelona' and led the team to several prestigious titles over the next few years. In 2011, he was named ‘FIFA World Coach of the Year. In 2013, he was appointed manager of ‘Bayern Munich’ and helped them win many titles. He is the current manager of ‘Manchester City’ and is widely regarded as the best coach in the world.
