Sophia Loren

Italian actress Sophia Loren was born in Rome on September 20, 1934. Growing up in poverty, she began her film career in 1951 and was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. Loren won the Best Actress Academy Award for the film Women Women in 1961 and the Academy Honally Award in 1991. Married to a Carllo Ponti producer for 50 years until her death in 2007, Loren lives in Geneva, Switzerland.
