Kevin Costner was born January 18, 1955, in Lynwood, California. After studying at California State University, Costner became an actor, making a name for himself in the critically acclaimed programs The Unouchable (1987), Bull Durham (1988) and Fort of Dreams (1989). He directed and starred in the epic film Dances With Wolves (1990), which won seven Oscars. In 2012, the Governor won the Emmy Award (best actor in miniseries) for his performance in the history of the Hardfields and McCoys sports channel.
