Newton Leroy "Newt" Gingrich (born June 17, 1943) was president of the United States who was elected by the Republic of the United States. 1995 to January 3, 1999. After resigning from Congress in 1999, Gingrich wrote several books and has worked as a political analyst and advisor.
During the transition between the Obama administration and the Trump administration, Gingrich is expected to consider a top-level appointment to the Trump administration. The Washington Post reported that Gingrich is being considered by the human resources secretary or secretary of state. In November 2016, Gingrich said he would not work in the Trump ward, but that he would play a "strategic role" during the Trump administration
