If you believe you can change the world, which I hope you do, do what you believe is right and expect resistance and expect attackers.

“There's nothing so absurd that if you repeat it often enough, people will believe it.”

“Pragmatism asks its usual question. "Grant an idea or belief to be true," it says, "what concrete difference will its being true make in anyone's actual life? How will the truth be realized? What experiences will be different from those which would obtain if the belief were false? What, in short, is the truth's cash-value in experiential terms?”

“Belief creates the actual fact.”

“All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.”

“Comfort is no test of truth. Truth is often far from being comfortable.”

“You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.”

“I don’t believe in praying to win.”

“I am just a common man who is true to his beliefs.”

I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness.

If we pray, we will believe; If we believe, we will love; If we love, we will serve.

Belief consists in accepting the affirmations of the soul; Unbelief, in denying them.

“As for believing things, I can believe anything, provided that it is quite incredible.”

“The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself.”

“Her trust makes me faithful, her belief makes me good.”

I never thought of losing, but now that it' s happened, the only thing is to do it right. That's my obligation to all the people who believe in me. We all have to take defeats in life.

Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Don't get older just to get wiser. If you get older, you will be wiser, I believe that - if you dare. But get older because it's fun!

I believe we are still so innocent. The species are still so innocent that a person who is apt to be murdered believes that the murderer, just before he puts the final wrench on his throat, will have enough compassion to give him one sweet cup of water.

It is this belief in a power larger than myself and other than myself which allows me to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable.

I neither believe nor disbelieve anything.

The persecution of any minority is inhuman and unnatural. That belief is timeless and beyond change.

“The brute necessity of believing something so long as life lasts does not justify any belief in particular.”

“The bible is literature, not dogma.”
