“I had an unconscious, vague sort of understanding that God loved me, but the love of God is meant to be a powerful force in our lives, one that will take us through even the most difficult trials into victory.”

“Many people want guidance from God, but they don’t want to lay aside other things in order to hear His voice. But David narrowed down everything he wanted to just one thing—more of God all the days of his life. I believe the only thing that truly satisfies the longing within us is to know God more intimately today than we did yesterday.”

“Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you’ve been through, it’s never too late to begin again.”

“Do Not Complain—Be Thankful! Do everything without complaining or arguing. PHILIPPIANS 2:14 NIV One of the reasons the Israelites spent forty years wandering in the wilderness for what should have been an eleven-day journey was because they were complaining. “And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water, and we loathe this light (contemptible, unsubstantial) manna” (Numbers 21:5). Do you hear their bad attitude? They believe their discomfort is God’s fault! Or Moses’ fault! And they are complaining about the miraculous manna God sent daily from heaven to feed them! One of the worst parts about complaining is that it prevents us from seeing all the blessings we do have. Do you have a situation or circumstance you want to be free from? Start finding things to be thankful for. Don’t focus on the things you don’t have, but look at all you do have in Christ. Power Thought: I am thankful at all times for everything I have in Christ.”

“Nobody on their death bed ever worried about their bank balance.”

“As we look then at these two powerful tools of the enemy, we see that doubt causes a person to waver between two opinions, whereas unbelief leads to disobedience. I”

“It is unwise to refuse to face reality; however if our reality is negative we can still have a positive attitude toward it.”

“You can always tell God how you feel and ask for His help and strength, but talking about negative feelings just to be talking does no good at all. The Bible instructs us not to speak with idle (inoperative, nonworking) words (see Matt. 12:36). If negative feelings persist, asking for prayer or seeking advice is a good thing, but once again I want to stress that talking just to be talking is useless.”

“Be a blessing to someone else.”

“Remember, Satan wants you to think that you are mentally deficient—that something is wrong with you. But the truth is, you just need to begin disciplining your mind. Don’t let it run all over town, doing whatever it pleases. Begin today to “keep your foot,” to keep your mind on what you’re doing. You will need to practice for a while. Breaking old habits and forming new ones always takes time, but it is worth it in the end. The present moment is the greatest gift we have from God, but if we are not present we miss it.”

“Don’t receive condemnation when you have setbacks or bad days. Just get back up, dust yourself off, and start again.”

“If you desire victory over your problems, if you truly want to live the resurrection life, you must have backbone and not just wishbone! You must be active—not passive. Right action begins with right thinking. Don’t be passive in your mind. Start today choosing right thoughts.”

“Staying angry at someone who has hurt you is like taking poison hoping that your enemy will die.”

“If you accept what people call you, you will start to believe it. Find your identity in Christ, not in what others say.”

“But as a child of God, there is something especially encouraging you need to remember today: God can do more in one moment than you can do in a lifetime. There is no situation that intimidates Him. There is no mess, no dysfunction, no abuse, no pain that He can’t heal. One word from God, one moment in His presence, can change the entire course of your life.”

“Confident people do not concentrate on their weaknesses; they develop and maximize their strengths.”

“God has a plan for our deliverance before our problems ever appear. He is not surprised when trouble comes. He is not in Heaven wringing His hands trying to figure out what to do. He’s in control. Our part is to focus on Him and His mighty power, worshipping Him and praising Him for the manifestation of His solution and listening for a word of direction from Him.”

“Regardless of how hard we try, none of us will ever be completely perfect in this life, but not being perfect at everything we do does not mean we have no worth or value. You are special—unique—and that means there is only one like you, imperfections and all. Please remember that you don’t have to be like someone else to be acceptable. The world’s standards are not God’s. The world may say you need to be like this person or that person, but God’s will is for you to be yourself. Jesus is our standard, not any other person. If you are going to seek to be like anyone, let it be Jesus Himself. He is our righteousness, so believe and embrace the righteousness He gives you. You’ll become what you believe.”

“One great reason for hope is this: you are not a failure just because you have failed at certain things.”

“Lord, thank You that through the blood of Jesus I can come to You with a clear conscience. Help me to walk in power, love, and sound mind today.”

“Don’t wait to “feel” like doing a thing to do it. Live by decision, not emotion.”

“God has never promised a life without suffering, but He has promised to comfort us and give us the strength to carry on. He has also promised to work good out of everything that happens to us if we love Him and continue wanting His will in our lives (Rom. 8:28).”

“The truth is always revealed through the Word; but sadly, people don’t always accept it. It is a painful process to face our faults and deal with them. Generally speaking, people justify misbehavior. They allow their past and how they were raised to negatively affect the rest of their lives. Our past may explain why we’re suffering, but we must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage.”

“You may have heard the saying, “Refusing to forgive is like drinking poison and hoping it kills the other person.”

“If someone hurts you, cry a river, then build a bridge and get over it.

“You may have some major strongholds in your life that need to be broken. Let me encourage you by saying, “God is on your side.” There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side.”

“I am not going to let negative people control my mood. They have problems and they are not going to give their problems to me.”

“is unwise to refuse to face reality; however if our reality is negative we can still have a positive attitude toward it.”

“Regardless of what you’ve been told, God doesn’t give up on you when you get stuck.”

“No matter what you might be going through right now, I encourage you to make a decision that God will bring you through, and you do not have to be afraid of lack in any area of your life because God is faithful.”

“Millions of people miss today because either they refuse to let go of the past or they worry about the future.”

“The people who are happy are the ones who decide to be happy.”

“Courage is not the absence of fear; it is action in the presence of fear. Bold people do what they know they should do—not what they feel like doing.”

“This is the day God has made, and I am going to enjoy it. I can handle whatever comes my way today through Christ Who is my strength. Today, I am energetic and creative. I have favor with God and man everywhere I go. Everything I lay my hand to prospers and succeeds. I enjoy being a blessing to others. I am thankful for all that God has done for me. God is working on my problems, and I can wait patiently because His timing is perfect.”

“If we make a decision and then continue to go back and forth in our mind about whether we did the right thing or not, we are unstable in our ways.”

“I urge you to stop remembering what God has forgotten.”

“Your life will go only as high as the level of your expectations.”

“Remember that we cannot judge the moral value of any action by how we feel. Our feelings are unreliable and cannot be trusted to convey truth.”

“Prayer makes tremendous power available (James 5:16). Don’t let your prayer life reflect weeds of inconsistency or neglect.”

“Worrying does not move the hand of God, but faith does. Exchange worry for trusting God and you will see progress.”

“You must believe what God’s Word says about you more than you believe what others say or what your feelings or own mind says.”

“You can gain or buy friends by letting them control you, but you will have to keep them the same way you got them. After allowing them to control you to keep their friendship for a while, you will eventually get tired of having no freedom. Being lonely is actually better than being manipulated and controlled. When you enter into a new relationship, be careful how you get started. What you allow in the beginning will come to be expected throughout your association with that person. The behavior you tolerate at the start of a relationship should be behavior you can be happy with permanently. Let people know by your actions that even though you would like their approval, you can live without it. Respect others, and let them know you expect them to respect you, too.”

“Learning to love yourself is the essence of receiving God’s love. It is the ointment that brings healing to your wounded soul. Until we receive God’s love and learn to love ourselves because of it, we will remain sick in our souls and live dysfunctional lives.”

“We can’t control what other people do and how they decide to treat us, but we can control our response to them. Don’t let other people’s behavior control you. Don’t let them steal your joy; remember that your anger won’t change them, but prayer can.”

“I am not where I need to be, but, thank God, I am not where I used to be.”

“The best thing you can do about yesterday is to forget it. Whether you succeeded or failed, it’s over. It’s time to look ahead.”

“The mind is often an area where "people play around with sin".”

“If something is wrong in your life, don’t spend the rest of your days feeling bad about it… do something about it!”

“Always cooperate with the work God is doing in you. The more we resist, the longer it takes. Don’t ever let how you feel dictate God’s love for you. He is always loving us, even when our circumstances don’t make us feel good.”

“The Lord simply told me, “I am the One Who called you. Don't worry about what people think. If you do, you are going to be worrying all your life because the devil will never stop finding people who will think something unkind about you.”
