Larry Jeff McMurtry is a well-known American author, screenwriter, novelist, and bookseller. He is best known for putting his work in Texas or the Old West. His novels, 'Terms of Service,' 'Horseman, Pass By,' and 'The Last Picture Show,' were featured in films covering ten of the 26 nominated Awards. He won the ‘Pulitzer Prize’ with his book ‘Lonesome Dove,’ in 1985. The same novel was turned into a television series and won seven ‘Emmy Awards’ out of eighteen.
