Og Mandino is the most widely studied and self-help inspirational writer in the world today.
In 1976, at the age of fifty-two, he shocked the publishing industry by resigning as president of the magazine Un Un magazine to devote all his time to writing and speeches. Thousands of people from all walks of life have promised Og Mandino about changing their lives and about the miracle they have found in his words.
The principles that Og Mandino teaches are tried and tested in his life. Many are surprised to learn that at age 35, Og was a miserable person - a hopeless alcoholic who nearly spent a few dollars on a suicide bomber. He describes his early life as having never been more than a few times before fundraisers. When he finally reaches the bottom of the rock, Og leads the books, modern and classical, by rescuing him. He was greatly influenced by Success Through a Positive Attitude by Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone. Within 10 years of applying the principles he had learned, he was a senior editor of Un Un Magazine magazine and also publisher of his first bookseller, The World's Greatest Seller. While learning the skills and attitudes that helped him succeed, Og was concerned about sharing them with the world. This led to many books, lectures, and speaking engagements. At the time of his death, he was one of the most sought after speakers in the world.
Og Mandino's sixteen books of inspiration, love and wisdom have sold more than 36 million copies worldwide in eighteen languages, the second in the Bible. He is the first recipient of the Napoleon Hill Gold Medal for literary achievement and has been named "World's Greatest Writer."
