Susanna Clarke

Susanna Clarke's novel Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell's documentary was first published in more than 34 countries and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Award and the list of the Bestbread First Novel Award and Guardian First Book Awards. He won the British Book Awards Newcomer of the Year, Hugo Award and World Fantasy Award in 2005. Ladies of Grace Adieu, a collection of short stories, some from the world of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, published by Bloomsbury in 2006. She lives in Derby shire.
