Walter Scott

Born in Edinburgh in 1771, Sir Walter Scott was one of the greatest and most respected writers of his time. In his writings, Scott incorporated Scottish mythology into myths and legends, recounting what his contemporaries saw as color and transforming it into a series of terrifying stories and heroic heroes. Through his work, Sir Walter Scott named a nation that was respected and distinguished from the people of Scotland.
