In 1939, Ruth Westheimer was sent to Switzerland to escape the Nazis. Moving to New York City in 1956, she worked for Planned Parenthood. The talk she gave in 1980 led to a radio talk show called Sexually Speaking. The show was a hotbed of activity and Westheimer became a nationally recognized sex official. Dr. Ruth has written many books and still lives in New York City.
