Novelist
Novelist Robert Louis Stevenson traveled extensively, and his travels around the world were well-suited to his delusional nature. Stevenson developed a desire to write at a young age, having no interest in the family business of lighting engineering. He was often abroad, often for health reasons, and his travels led to some of his first writing career. Publishing his first volume at the age of 28, Stevenson became a literary celebrity during his lifetime when works such as Dr. Jekyll's Treasure Island, Kidnapped and Strange Case by Mr. Hyde were released by an enthusiastic audience.
