Sabaa Tahir grew up in California Mateja Des California in his 18-room motel. There, she spent her spare time entertaining good novels, attacking her comic book and playing the guitar badly. She started writing An Ember in the ashes while working at night as a newspaper editor. She loves the thundering indie rock, the socks, and all the nerd stuff. Sabaa currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
