Schwarzkopf graduated from West Point and fought in the Vietnam War. In 1983, he was made commander and several years later became a four-star general and commander of the U.S. Central Command. His duties included ordering troops in Grenada and the Persian Persian War. She grew up in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, with her two older sisters, Ruth Ann and Sally. Their father was Colonel H. Norman Schwarzkopf, who served in World War I and founded the New Jersey State Police. His father worked in the 1932 boy trial of Charles Lindbergh's son and later served in World War II. Schwarzkopf was assigned to fight in the Vietnam War in 1966. During the war, he was repeatedly honored for his service there, including three Silver Stars, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Schwarzkopf had served as battalion commander during the war. After the end of the Vietnam War, Schwarzkopf remained in the military and continued to climb distances. He became general commander in the late 1970s and served as commander of U.S. troops during the 1983 Grenada invasion. Five years later he was called to lead the Central U.S. U.S .. He became one of the attendees in the military response to the Iraqi invasion of neighboring Kuwait in 1990. He died in Florida in December 2012.
