Colin Firth is an English actor. He was born the son of two pastors and spent parts of his childhood in Nigeria and Missouri, before returning to Hamphire, England, as a child. He trained to be an actor for the London Drama Center and his first acting career was on stage. However, Collin Firth’s great start was not until he played his most important role to date, as Mr. Darcy did in the Pride and Prejudice Bride production in 1995. He has also participated in major box office competitions such as the Bridget Jones's Diary series, The English Patient (1996), True Love (2003) and Mamma Mia! (2008). In 2009, he took part in leading Tom Ford's A single Man, which earned him Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations and a BAFTA award. Colin's most successful work to date has been King George VI's presentation in The King's Speech (2010) which earned him the Academy Award, BAFTA and Screen Actor's Guild Award among many others. Colin has three sons and lives with his wife, Italian producer and director Livia Giuggioli, in London and Italy.
