NFL defender Brett Favre went to the University of Southern Mississippi, and after his college career, Favre was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL squad. After his trade with the Green Bay Packers the following year, Favre led the apartment with a victory in the Super Bowl XXXI. He was also named MVP of the league for three consecutive years. After a brief stint with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, Favre retired from football after the 2010 season.
