Fernando António Nogueira Pessoa was a famous Portuguese 20th-century writer and is known as the greatest Portuguese poet. He was a talented man with many writings involved in writing, critique of writing, publishing, translation, and astrology and oral life all his life. Devsoa was born in Portugal but spent most of her youth in South Africa with her mother and stepfather. He studied at the University of Cape Town and fell in love with English, a language in which he showed great command and vitality. He returned to Portugal in 1905 and began his journey there. He translated merchandise and books from various magazines and started his own publishing house on two separate occasions. Devsoa was a unique writer who often wrote under the plural and had at least 72 heteronyms besides 'Fernando Pessoa'. He chose to write like this as it gave him the opportunity to write without his personality and do something different. He became interested in spiritism and the occult and became known as a celebrity (who spoke about the connection between the spirits of the dead and other people) and wrote about his experiences as a society in his many writings. He also studied astronomy and used to charge for charities. Much of his work was published only after his death and while he was still alive, he had the opportunity to receive only one book published in Portuguese, "Mensagem".
