Lucille Ball started as an artist, model and film star before becoming one of the leading American comedy actors on the 1950s TV series I Love Lucy, who starred in the show with her husband, Desi Arnaz. The two split in 1960, and Bill went on to star in The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy when she became a TV executive. She died in 1989.
