Nothing, of course, will ever take the place of the good old fashion of 'liking' a work of art or not liking it; the more improved criticism will not abolish that primitive, that ultimate, test.

The practice of "reviewing"... in general has nothing in common with the art of criticism.

“Capitalists can buy themselves out of any crisis, so long as they make the workers pay”

“Earlier in the twentieth century some critics called fascism “capitalism with the gloves off,” meaning that fascism was pure capitalism without democratic rights and organizations.”

My biggest criticism is how can people be so easily satisfied? Even people with talent.

The best people in almost any field are almost always the people who get the most criticism.

You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one.

“When critics disagree the artist is in accord with himself.”

“I began to see that for some, religion was just a form of politics you couldn’t criticize.”

“I began to see that for some, religion was just a form of politics you couldn’t criticize.”

“What embitters the world is not excess of criticism, but an absence of self-criticism.”

“He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative.”

“By a curious confusion, many modern critics have passed from the proposition that a masterpiece may be unpopular to the other proposition that unless it is unpopular it cannot be a masterpiece.”

The fault is in the one who blames. Spirit sees nothing to criticize.

Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.

Success comes from curiosity, concentration, perseverance and self-criticism.

I prefer to praise people and the world rather than criticize them and it.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right – for you’ll be criticized anyway.

Corruption is one of the most common reasons I hear in views that criticize aid.
