Kerala has been one of the most vocal voices of federalism, and it will remain so.

Kerala has always evoked the curiosity of the world at large. We have contributed immensely in enriching such ideals which an egalitarian world would cherish to uphold.

Kerala's strength is not the size of its state exchequer, but it is the support of Malayalis from all over the world and others who love Kerala.

It is unfortunate that a party like the Congress, which had a role in social reforms as part of the national movement, has aligned with RSS and BJP.

Why is Kerala distinct from many other states? It is simply because of the glorious movements of reforms that brought renaissance to the state.

The Left Front, being an egalitarian political force, has always supported removing untouchability and discrimination in society.

Sabarimala is a unique place of worship where members of all faiths are free to go. It may be true that RSS and its B team, Congress, may be trying to whip up caste sentiments.

Government officials should recognize that the files in front of them represent very important issues in the lives of people.

Weakening the federal structure essentially hampers our unity in diversity, India's biggest strength.

People - particularly in the Southeast, Georgia, my district, all across the state - they don't want the federal government to have the ability, at times whenever the federal government wants to declare an emergency, to start going around and confiscating people's guns.

We're concerned with a powerful government who is telling General Motors now, maybe, what they can charge for their automobiles. Indeed, if the government owns 61 percent, they can do that.

People need to look beyond just the immediate victory... There are no permanent victories.

To suggest that we can't pay our debts - that's absolutely not true.

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, and other conservative giants are the voices of the conservative movement's conscience. Every day, millions and millions of Americans - myself included - turn on their radios and televisions to listen to what they have to say, and we are inspired by their words and by their determination.

I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach.

Of my three daughters and one daughter-in-law, they all work. They all work, some of them full-time, some of them part-time. But they're still there as moms. And when they come home and take over that responsibility, they need a shared partner, and that partner is that partner for life. And I'm talking about, of course, the father.
