Your mind is the result of a thousand yesterdays.

“...a fixation is very stubborn: it burrows into the brain and breaks the heart. There are many fixations, but love is the worst.”

“Don’t allow your mind to tell your heart what to do. The mind gives up easily.”

Every day stand guard at the door of your mind, and you alone decide what thoughts and beliefs you let into your life. For they will shape whether you feel rich or poor, cursed or blessed

Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.

Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.

Age doesn’t matter: an open mind does.

“Your brain is wider than the sky”

“Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the Universe than we do now.”

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too.

“We are punished for our refusals. Every impulse that we strive to strangle broods in the mind and poisons us. The body sins once, and has done with its sin, for action is a mode of purification. Nothing remains then but the recollection of a pleasure, or the luxury of a regret. The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful. It has been said that the great events of the world take place in the brain. It is in the brain, and the brain only, that the great sins of the world take place also.”

We will walk on our own feet; we will work with our own hands; we will speak our own minds… A nation of men will for the first time exist, because each believes himself inspired by the Divine Soul which also inspires all men.

The stars awaken a certain reverence, because though always present, they are inaccessible; but all natural objects make a kindred impression, when the mind is open to their influence.

Stay at home in your mind. Don’t recite other people’s opinions.

Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.

To different minds, the same world is a hell, and a heaven.

“It has been said that the great events of the world take place in the brain. It is in the brain, and the brain only, that the great sins of the world take place also.”

Other men are lenses through which we read our own minds.

You can't keep your mind on fighting when you're thinking about a woman. You can't keep your concentration. You feel like sleeping all the time.

The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions.

Our minds travel when our bodies are forced to stay at home.

The need for change bulldozed a road down the center of my mind.

There is something more - the spirit, or the soul. I think that that quality encourages our courtesy and care and our minds. And mercy, and identity.
