“With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things.”

“Getting and spending we lay waste our powers.”

“Getting and spending we lay waste our powers.”

Global conditions are far too complex to be able to imagine that they could ever be really controlled by one power.

“What ‘relations of production’ in capitalist society represented for Karl Marx, ‘relations of definition’ represent for risk society. Both concern relations of domination (Beck 2002; Goldblatt 1996). Among the relations of definition are the rules, institutions and capabilities which specify how risks are to be identified in particular contexts (for example, within nation-states, but also in relations between them). They form at the legal, epistemological and cultural power matrix in which risk politics is organized (see chapters 9 and 10). Relations of definition power can accordingly be explored through four clusters of questions:”

“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”

“Clearly, only very unequal intellectual and moral standing could justify having equality imposed, whether the people want it or not, as Dworkin suggests, and only very unequal power would make it possible.”

The power of imagination makes us infinite.

The genuine love for reading itself, when cultivated, is a superpower.

When you blame others, you give up your power to change.

A word after a word after a word is power.

It is in your power whenever you choose to retire into yourself. For there is no retreat that is quieter or freer from trouble than a man’s own soul.

Hope is the power that gives a person the confidence to step out and try

Recognizing the influence of my subconscious mind over my power of will, I shall take care to submit to it a clear and definite picture of my Major Purpose in life and all minor purposes leading to my major purpose, and I shall keep this picture constantly before my subconscious mind by repeating it daily.

The power of will is the supreme court over all other departments of my mind. I will exercise it daily when I need the urge to action for any purpose, and I will form habits designed to bring the power of my will into action at least once daily.

Persistence, persistence, and persistence. The power can be created and maintained through daily practice – continuous effort.

The spiritual power of man’s will removes all obstacles.

The main thing is not to expend one’s powers prematurely in an attempt to obtain by force something for which the time is not yet ripe.

“Power Thought: I trust I will see everything come to pass in my life that God has promised in His Word.”

“He did not send the power of His Spirit into our lives so we could be weak-willed, wimpy, or the type of person who gives up when the going gets tough.”

“Power Thought: I expect good things to happen in my life today.”

“For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the”

Knowledge will give you power, but character respect.

“Unity increases power.”
