Producer Carol Burnett became famous for appearing on television for a number of television appearances before launching her own comedy show, the Carol Burnett Show, in 1967. Burnett also appeared in featured films and Broadway. It published its autobiography, One More Time, in 1986. In 2013, she became the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors, one of the most prestigious awards given to creative minds influencing American culture through their art.
