Coach K was born February 13, 1947 in Windy City, Chicago, Illinois. His real name is Michael Krzyzewski, his last name is just coach K. He attended a local Catholic school since becoming a Catholic. The name of the school was St. Helen's Catholic School. And on weekends between the ages of 10 and 12 he traveled to the highlands of Pittsburg where he would stay with his grandparents, doing so so that he would not forget where he came from. Throughout his life Coach K has always enjoyed the game of basketball.
