Most guys, tough or not, hide emotions. I know a lot of tough guys; they're just as weak as the next man, but they don't show it.

“A system of morality which is based on relative emotional values is a mere illusion, a thoroughly vulgar conception which has nothing sound in it and nothing true.”

“Love is a canvas furnished by Nature and embroidered by imagination. “

“Tears are the silent language of grief.”

“The emotions between the races could never be pure; even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves.”

"Sometimes any emotion is better than the boredom of security."

"An emotional response to a situation is the single greatest barrier to power, a mistake that will cost you a lot more than any temporary satisfaction you might gain by expressing your feelings."

"When our emotions are engaged, we often have trouble seeing things as they are."

"There are two kinds of taste, the taste for emotions of surprise and the taste for emotions of recognition."

“The emotions between the races could never be pure; even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.”

“Any emotion, if it is sincere, is involuntary.”

Don’t waste your love on somebody who doesn’t value it.”

Not to display anger or other emotions. To be free of passion and yet full of love.

The greatest cause of a poor image is the absence of unconditional love

Emotions – the most important motors of our behavior.

“You are not free until you have no need to impress anybody.”

“Make a list of your blessings and read them out loud anytime you feel yourself starting to sink emotionally.”

“Don’t wait to “feel” like doing a thing to do it. Live by decision, not emotion.”

I have travelled all over the world and one thing that amazes me is that I can communicate with people. My story may be different but emotionally we are all the same.

I'm aware of the mystery around us, so I write about coincidences, premonitions, emotions, dreams, the power of nature, magic.

“I felt an unrelenting restlessness. It was the first time I had ever experienced jealousy, and that emotion clung to my skin day and night like a dark stain, a contamination I could not shed; it became so unbearable that when finally I rid myself of it, I was freed forever of the desire to possess another person or the temptation ever to belong to anyone.”

“Each of us chooses the tone for telling his or her own story. I would like to choose the durable clarity of a platinum print, but nothing in my destiny possesses the luminosity. I live among diffuse shadings, veiled mysteries, uncertainties; the tone of telling my life is closer to that of a portrait in sepia.”

The little things have a big emotional payback, and guess what? Chances are, at least one person you make smile is on the front lines with you, quietly battling something nearly identical.
