“The trouble is, you think you have time.”

Just as the great ocean has one taste, the taste of salt, so also this teaching and discipline has one taste, the taste of liberation.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.

Stop, stop. Do not speak. The ultimate truth is not even to think.

Nothing can harm you as much as your own thoughts unguarded.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought.

We all should rise, above the clouds of ignorance, narrowness, and selfishness.

. “It means a great deal, I think, to start off on a foundation which one has made for oneself.”

My dear heart, never think you are better than others. Listen to their sorrows with compassion. If you want peace, don’t harbor bad thoughts, do not gossip and don’t teach what you do not know.

Everyone is overridden by thoughts; that’s why they have so much heartache and sorrow.

Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom.

The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.

Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

To be conscious that we are perceiving or thinking is to be conscious of our own existence.

We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths; in feelings, not in figures on a dial. We should count time by heart throbs. He most lives who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts the best.

The actuality of thought is life.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

"Loving is not just looking at each other, it's looking in the same direction."

"Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction."

“I have no right to say or do anything that diminishes a man in his own eyes. What matters is not what I think of him but what he thinks of himself. Hurting a man in his dignity is a crime.”

The wiser course is to think of others when pursuing our own happiness.

If we think only of ourselves, forget about other people, then our minds occupy very small area. Inside that small area, even tiny problem appears very big.
