“A world of wealth is trash if men are wanting; men who have no wealth never find fortune smiling as their strength deserves.”

“Tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world.”

“Give me just one generation of youth, and I'll transform the whole world.”

“All over the world, wherever there are capitalists, freedom of the press means freedom to buy up newspapers, to buy writers, to bribe, buy and fake "public opinion" for the benefit of the bourgeoisie.”

“I mean, you can pretend up to a certain point that the world has infinite resources and that it's an infinite wastebasket-but at some point you're going to run into the reality, which is that that isn't true.”

“The world is a very puzzling place. If you're not willing to be puzzled, you just become a replica of someone else's mind.”

“When you want to fool the world, tell the truth. ”

“The world is too much with us.”

I just think people should invest in the world. Don't invest in fashion, but invest in the world.

Women fight for democracy and engage in the world. But they shouldn't try and be copying men and be masculine; they should anchor on the home and build on those fundamentals.

I'm frugal. I'm not a very acquisitive woman. I never waste food. If you prepare your own food, you engage with the world, it tastes alive. It tastes good.

I'm not sure what I think about current fashion, though. A few years ago, I would have said it's really, really bad and you hardly ever see anybody looking good. There must be some very good designers in the world.

The only possible effect one can have on the world is through unpopular ideas.

“We have got to change our ethics and our financial system and our whole way of understanding the world. It has to be a world in which people live rather than die; a sustainable world. It could be great.”

The world has become so complex that the idea of a power in which everything comes together and can be controlled in a centralized way is now erroneous.

We are living in a world that is beyond controllability.

The world is big and I want to have a good look at it before it gets dark

In a gentle way, you can shake the world.

The world is maintained by change – in the elements and in the things they compose. That should be enough for you; treat it as an axiom.

Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes

This world is very practical. You do more work, you get rewarded more; you do less work, you lose your rewards.

When a man has confidence in himself, when all he wants in the world is to live out his destiny in freedom and purity, he comes to regard all those vastly overestimated and far too costly possessions as mere accessories, pleasant perhaps to have and make use of, but never essential.

There is a difference: the world, our reaction to it.

“It is not about reading the Word. It is about obeying the Word.”
