It was published by Books, Inc. and was printed and bound in the United States of America by the H. Wolff Book Manufacturing Company, New York City. It is bound in red-brown cloth with black and gold decorations and lettering on the spine. The front cover is embossed and is decorated with a bust of Charles Dickens. There is no date of publication listed but the copyright page states: " 'The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club' was first published as a volume in 1837, having previously been issued in twenty monthly parts from April 1836 to November 1837.
