“You are a special person, and without you, the world would be missing something wonderful. You can do whatever you set your mind to do, as long as it is within God’s will. You are talented, gifted by God, and you are able to accomplish great things in your life. You are amazingly unique, and you never need to compare yourself with anyone else. Be the amazing person that you are. God loves you unconditionally, and that will never change. Your future is so bright that you may need sunglasses to look at it!”

Whatever your problems happen to be in the future, remember well that they cannot remain stationary but must move together with your living spirit. Otherwise, you will drift into artificiality or attempt to solidify the ever-flowing. To avoid that, you must change and be flexible. Remember, the usefulness of a cup is in its emptiness.

“As long as you think tomorrow is dependent on yesterday, your future will never be different from your past.”

“God is excited about your future, and I hope you are also. Don’t let the discouragement of the past steal the amazing future that is yours.”

What is real is seeing the truth instantaneously, because truth has no future.

“Millions of people miss today because either they refuse to let go of the past or they worry about the future.”

“I learned that what happened to me did not have to define who I was. My past could not control my future unless I allowed it to.”

“All you will have is the present. Waste no energy crying over yesterday or dreaming of tomorrow. Nostalgia is fatiguing and destructive, it is the vice of the expatriate. You must put down roots as if they were forever, you must have a sense of permanence.”

“We have to do with the past only as we can make it useful to the present and the future.”

“The secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And, if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better.”

“It’s what you do in the present that will redeem the past and thereby change the future.”

Your past does not equal your future

Your past doesn’t equal your future.

“If you believe that feeling bad or worrying long enough will change a past or future event, then you are residing on another planet with a different reality system.”

“We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in the future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.”

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

“I think the teaching profession contributes more to the future of our society than any other single profession.”

The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.

We fear the future because we are wasting today.

But man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future.

“I like men who have a future and women who have a past.”

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

Prejudice is a burden that confuses the past, threatens the future and renders the present inaccessible.
